Meet The Golf Staff

My name is Howie Friday and I am the Head Golf Professional at Stanley Golf Course. I was born and raised in Bristol, CT and grew up playing golf at Pequabuck Golf Club. I spent 3 years at Pembroke Country Club on the South Shore of Boston as first assistant and then 30 years at Tumble Brook Country Club in Bloomfield, CT. I am happily married to my wife Kate and we have 2 amazing children, Ashley 27 and Will 22. We live in Berlin, CT.

I am currently the President of the CT Section PGA. I was Merchandiser of the Year for the CT Section PGA in 2010 and I take tremendous pride in my golf shop. I have been blessed to have met so many amazing people through this wonderful game and I look forward to meeting more in the coming years! I have a passion for the game but more importantly for the people that enjoy it.

My name is Josh Salisbury, and I am the Assistant Golf Professional at Stanley Golf Course. I was born, raised and currently live in Meriden CT with my wife Samantha and our two sons Cooper and Carson. Prior to becoming the Assistant Golf Professional at Stanley, I spent 10 years in Special Education at ACES Whitney Academy, 5 years mentoring and teaching golf at GRO-3 Golf Academy and have served in the United States Army Reserve since 2013.

The game of golf has always been a passion of mine from the first time I put my hands on a golf club. From that day forward, I knew I wanted to become a Golf Professional and help others enjoy the game as much as I do. I am truly excited to help grow the game of golf here at Stanley Golf Course. Whether you need help with your golf game, advice on golf products or any services offered here at Stanley, I look forward to providing you with an enthusiastic and professional experience.
